We're here on the eve of the Electronic Entertainment Expo to bring you our biggest predictions, wishlists, and wry observations in classic Call Of Podcast style.  BP ain't got nothing on this mess.  The earth literally shakes as we lay down turns of phrase one after another.  We got you looking for your mother's brother.  Say uncle, son.

I expected lonesteban's story to have happier ending, maybe she saw the holes in his socks...

I didnt know S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was based on a book, I'll have to read it sometime, the game had a cool premise, but was full of jank. I really want to read Metro 2033 before I try the game, but that book is kind of expensive right now.

Looking forward to hearing your E3 thoughts.

I believe the book STALKER is based on is called Roadside Picnic, and I've heard it's pretty expensive/hard to find, but I haven't looked into it.

After the big 3 press conferences, I'm not sure what else big will come out of E3.

I'm honestly disappointed that there was no PSP successor announced, but I can see that it wouldn't make much sense when you look at what Sony is still trying to do with the original.

I'm also let down that we didn't see anything on The Last Guardian or Mass Effect 3. The buzz on the 3DS is extremely positive, though, and I'm looking forward to that... there's even an MGS3 re-make for it, they say... speaking of MGS, Rising looks potentially cool.

I'm sure we'll see a lot more between now and when we record next!

Yeah, I blew it with that girl. Maybe she thought I was some zombie otaku. Oh well, fuck it. E3 has pretty much underwhelmed me this year. I will have to see the 3DS, but so far it has made all my cynical blogger friends totally gush with praise, so I am looking forward to it. That one is going to be a huge cash cow for Nintendo.

I'm still not sold on the idea of 3D on the go. Seems like a recipe for motion sickness.

All I really want from a PSP2 at this point is a portable PS2. So, definitely 2 thumbsticks. But I am a pretty big PSP fan, and for some genres, just the d-pad or single nub is OK. Also, there's lots of good stuff on PSN and the pricing of PS1 games makes Nintendo's VC pricing seem like a sick joke. Also, the ability to play your games on multiple platforms (PSP/PS3) and de-license the game if necessary are way ahead of Nintendo's system of tying purchases to a single piece of hardware.

Where's this reuben place????? I'd kill for one *and* nomihoudai root beer for that price. At the moment a can of root beer alone sets me back 150 yen or so at an import place I found that stocks it.
